Jeanie S. Ismay
Jeanie S. Ismay is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on complex personal injury. Her litigation experience includes brain injury, wrongful death, toxic poisoning, in addition to construction defect, subrogation, property damage, insurance fraud, and insurance coverage. She has tried cases in federal and state court, representing both defendants and plaintiffs. Ms. Ismay has taught and lectured at conferences attended by fellow attorneys and claims professionals.
Ms. Ismay previously practiced in litigation departments of Baltimore law firms, and briefly served as an Assistant Attorney General at Maryland Department of the Environment representing the Department in compliance and enforcement matters. Immediately following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Seibert in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia in her hometown of Wheeling, West Virginia.

Ms. Ismay is a member of the Maryland State Bar, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She serves on the Executive Board of the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland, and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the International Association of Defense Counsel, Maryland Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, the Baltimore County Bar Association, and the Women’s Law Center of Maryland.
Ms. Ismay received her B.A. in English Literature from West Virginia University in 1996 and her Juris Doctor from University of Baltimore in 1999.
When she is not practicing law, she enjoys running, leading her daughters’ Girl Scout Troop, and serving as a catechist in her church.
